An update has emerged on backstage discussions regarding NXT Stand & Deliver 2024, with the brand set to change networks soon.
With NXT set to leave the USA Network in late 2024, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of all of next year’s shows on the gold brand.
Per WrestleVotes on Twitter, there have been discussions about the placement of NXT’s ‘Stand & Deliver’ event which usually takes place over WrestleMania weekend in April.
Noting that there has been some talk about moving the show to a weekday ahead of WrestleMania, WrestleVotes wrote:
On the heels of the CW announcement, I’m told discussions have taken place regarding NXT’s “Stand & Deliver” PLE scheduled for WrestleMania weekend. Those discussions have been about the placement of the show.
Source states there is support for the show to “open” the weekend and be held on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center. I was told while it “makes sense to some, it’s not ideal for others”. We’ll see how it turns out.
The 2023 NXT Stand & Deliver show took place on April 1, ahead of WrestleMania 39 Saturday that evening.
Stand & Deliver 2022 also took place on the same day as its respective WrestleMania. NXT TakeOver Stand & Deliver 2021
WWE recently announced that they have agreed to a five-year deal to bring NXT to The CW Network starting October 2024.
