WWE Star Reveals What He’s Had To Change In Recent Matches WWE

WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi has revealed what he’s worked on and changed since his first match.

Femi signed with WWE through its NIL (Next in Line) program in December 2021 and made his on-screen in-ring debut on NXT Level Up in November 2022.

Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Femi reflected the changes and improvements on his more than two years in the ring, saying:

“I had to tone back with the aspect of just being brutishly strong. Because strength is a big part of this game, but there’s other things you can learn. There’s the psychology of it, there’s the cardio of it.

“No matter how strong you are, if it’s minute eight and you don’t pack the same power you packed in minute one, it’s irrelevant.

“So I had to work on my cardio and my endurance, and I’d say that is the biggest difference between the Oba then and the Oba now.”

Femi also revealed that he sees himself being a main roster WWE champion in the next five years.

On the January 9, 2024, episode of WWE NXT, Femi defeated Dragon Lee to become NXT North American Champion.

He is the first product of the WWE NIL program to have held championship gold in the company.
