Last week’s SmackDown Live saw an audience of only 2.195 million, despite prior announcements such as the New day revealing which member would compete at Money in the Bank, AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, and Jeff Hardy vs. Daniel Bryan.
Before this week’s edition of SmackDown Live, it was confirmed that Lana and Naomi would compete in a ‘dance-off’, which I assume probably didn’t really help, and that Daniel Bryan would take on Samoa Joe in the final men’s Money in the Bank match qualifier.
The latter sort of happened, but with a bit of Big Cass thrown into the mix to spice things up.
Or maybe not in some people’s eyes.
It was also confirmed before the show aired that Shinsuke Nakamura would take on Tye Dillinger, and New Day would compete in six-man tag team action against The Miz and the Bar.
This past Tuesday’s episode managed to stay at exactly the same figure, with 2.195 million people tuning in.
Considering the decreasing numbers recently, holding steady can certainly be considered an improvement on previous weeks, even if 2.195 million still is nowhere near where SmackDown wants to be.
Oh well, WWE are getting $1 BILLION as they move to Fox next year, so I doubt Vince really cares too much.
