WWE Star Undergoes Name Change Ahead Of Debut? WWE

UPDATE: Clarification on this WWE name change story has now emerged – click here for the latest.

A newly named WWE star has seemingly undergone a slight name change ahead of their upcoming in-ring debut.

WWE recently trademarked three new ring names for use for new NXT stars, those being Jazmyn Nyx (Jade Gentile), Lainey Reid (Tylynn Register) and Carlee Bright (Kennedy Cummins).

Bright made her in-ring debut with her new name ahead of this week’s NXT show, when she took on Jacy Jayne in a match taped for this Friday’s episode of NXT Level Up.

However, WWE has now uploaded the preview for the show on WWE.com, and previewing the match, Bright has seemingly undergone a slight name change.

In the preview, Bright is listed as ‘Karlee Bright’ rather than ‘Carlee Bright’ which is what was trademarked by the company previously.

The preview reads:

An incredible edition of NXT Level Up will feature Hank Walker and Tank Ledger joining forces against two members of No Quarter Catch Crew, Brooks Jensen slugging it out with SCRYPTS, and Jacy Jayne taking on Karlee Bright.

The show is set to air tomorrow night on the WWE Network and Peacock this Friday.
