After a stint in NXT, Becky Lynch has left the brand and a rising WWE star has stepped in to effectively replace Lynch.
Actually, not just effectively, but in one particular case, literally too.
WWE’s website features a “Shows” page with banners for each of the three brands that link to their pages.
The banners all feature six talents from that particular brand, quite clearly chosen because they’re seen as the biggest or most marketable people on the show.
While she was NXT Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch featured on the NXT banner, but that’s not the case anymore.
That confirms her run in NXT is over, and also means she’s been replaced – but who by?
Lynch’s replacement on the graphic is her spiritual replacement in NXT, the woman who beat her for the NXT Women’s Championship, fellow Irish star Lyra Valkyria.
Valkyria now features on the banner alongside Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov and Dominik Mysterio.
Mysterio remains the NXT North American Champion, but judging by what happened with Lynch, will be removed when he loses it.
The Raw banner features Gunther, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins and Jey Uso.
Meanwhile, the SmackDown banner is Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, LA Knight and IYO SKY.
