It’s being reported that one top WWE star who competed this weekend at WrestleMania 40 is set for time off after the big event.
After losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre and later in the night serving as the ultimate shield for Cody Rhodes during the WrestleMania 40 main event, Seth Rollins will be taking some time off.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the “hope” is that Rollins will only be taking four weeks off.
Elsewhere on tonight’s Raw after WrestleMania there was a four-way match to determine who would be the number one contender for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Big Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, Ricochet and Drew McIntyre would go to war in the Raw after WrestleMania main event in order to determine who would get the first shot at Priest.
McIntyre looked poised to win, but a last-minute surprise appearance from CM Punk cost him once more.
It ended up being Jey Uso who scored the pin and will be Damian Priest’s first challenger.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Chelsea Green was shown backstage demanding a match of all of the WWE GMs, Adam Pearce, Nick Aldis and Ava from NXT.
When she was granted one, it ended up being very short as Jade Cargill made quick work of Green to pick up her first singles victory in WWE.
