A major WWE star has spoken about one big change he would make to Royal Rumble matches, and that is for more people to be in them.
Kevin Owens has been in three Royal Rumble matches since his WWE debut, and one of those was the 50-man Rumble in Saudi Arabia in 2018.
Speaking with Fightful, Owens said:
“They had done the 40-man Rumble one year, which I really liked. I wish we’d go back to that. The more people involved, the better. The longer it is, the better. If I were to pick any changes to make, I would add more people.”
The 40-man Rumble was in 2011 and was won by Alberto Del Rio. The 50-man Rumble that Owens was in three years ago was won by Braun Strowman.
The linked Fightful article features many stories and incredible insight from people who have been involved in Rumble matches, both inside the ring and backstage. It is definitely worth reading if you haven’t already.
