When it comes to Money in the Bank cash-ins, the theory has always been to be bold and aim high.
Austin Theory, on the other hand, cashed in against Seth Rollins following an open challenge on WWE Raw.
Sadly, for Theory, Rollins retained the WWE United States Champion and Theory lost his Money in the Bank briefcase in a baffling creative decision.
Whilst there are those who questioned the logic of Austin Theory’s booking, one WWE star has reached out with his own message of support.
Baron Corbin tweeted:
Hey @_Theory1 welcome to the club. We are a special group led by @JohnCena
— Corbin (@BaronCorbinWWE) November 8, 2022
Corbin had failed during his cash-in attempt on WWE SmackDown against Jinder Mahal in August 2017.
John Cena cashed in his opportunity at WWE Raw 1000 in July 2012 against CM Punk.
Cena would win the match by disqualification, meaning that the WWE Championship was retained by Punk.
