An update has emerged on tentative WWE plans for Xavier Woods, who was recently taken off the road to recover from an injury.
It was previously reported that Woods was removed from the road to heal up as he’s currently ‘banged up’. A later report confirmed that Woods is out with an injury.
With Kofi Kingston still appearing for WWE, there has been a lot of speculation about Woods’ eventual return to the ring.
Per PWInsider, WWE sources are expecting Woods to be back on the road within the first two weeks of January.
The report noted that these sources cautioned PWInsider that this is the ‘tentative’ plan, so isn’t definitely happening.
The nature of the injury is still unknown, though a previous report revealed that Woods was in Birmingham, Alabama recently.
Birmingham is the location of the medical facility which many WWE stars have used in the past.
Woods last wrestled on the November 27 edition of Raw, teaming with Kofi Kingston in the WWE Tag Team Championship #1 contenders Tag Team Turmoil bout.
Woods and Kingston were eliminated by the Creed Brothers, who went on to win the entire match.
Kingston is now the only member of the New Day currently active, with Big E remaining out of action after suffering a broken neck in March 2022.
We wish Woods a safe, healthy and complete recovery.
