Update On Vince McMahon’s Involvement With WWE Raw WWE

There’s been an update on Vince McMahon’s involvement with WWE Raw on September 11, following his recent spinal surgery.

McMahon’s “life-altering” surgery was revealed on August, with the company’s recent quarterly report filed to the SEC on August 2 stating:

“On July 21, 2023, Mr. McMahon went on medical leave after undergoing major spinal surgery.

“Mr. McMahon will remain on medical leave until further notice but will remain Executive Chairman of the Company.”

With news of changes being made to last night’s Raw, it was suspected that McMahon was back and making involved with WWE creative.

Wrestling Observer Radio has confirmed McMahon’s involvement, reporting:

“Vince McMahon is back. He made multiple changes to the show tonight. There were also multiple changes made by (Paul) Levesque (Triple H) at the last minute.

“So if the show was – a lot of stuff wasn’t advertised on the show, most of it, and the reason is they were changing all day long.

“But Vince is back, Vince made significant changes to the show and I don’t know what the changes were, all I heard was they were probably changes for the better but there were many of them.

“But Vince is back from his surgery leave, he was not in the chair, he was not [at the show], but he was involved in the production of the show.”

It had previously been reported that McMahon’s surgery was “pretty intensive” and lasted for more than five hours.

As previously noted, since WrestleMania weekend, it had become a regular thing for Vince McMahon to be part of pre-show creative meetings (remotely), and to make some changes to creative plans.

The September 11 episode of WWE Raw saw the return of Nia Jax, making her presence felt in the match between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez.
