One of the WWE stars unfortunately released earlier this month was Zack Ryder. AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes is very close friends with Ryder, so many expect Zack to debut for AEW in the coming weeks.
Despite make a WWE TV appearance in 2005, Ryder officially joined WWE in early 2006. He stayed with the company for over 14 years, winning the tag team titles on three occasions, as well as having reigns with both the United States and Intercontinental Championships.
Regardless of where he ends up next, Ryder has revealed the pretty cool new ring gear that he will be sporting during his next wrestling match.
Taking to Twitter, Ryder showed off his new trunks that are inspired by his trainer, Mikey Whipwreck.
I originally planned to wear this gear in 2016, but didn’t. It is inspired by my wrestling trainer, @mikeywhipwreck_. I had planned to wear it a few more times, but for one reason or another, I didn’t get to wear it. I can’t wait to wrestle again and finally wear this. pic.twitter.com/T6B6D4Z99k

Ryder has said that he planned on wearing the gear before, but presumably going get clearance from WWE higher-ups to do so. Now that he is a free agent, Ryder is free to wear whatever gear he chooses.
