Zaria Wins WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship From Tatum Paxley

Zaria has captured her first championship in WWE, defeating Tatum Paxley to win the Women’s North American Championship on tonight’s WWE NXT.

Zaria has been chasing the Women’s North American Championship since Stand & Deliver in 2025, where she took part in the ladder match to crown the new champion, which was won by Sol Ruca.

This lead to the initial tensions between Zaria and Sol, which led to their break up and rivalry earlier this year, ending in a Last Woman Standing match back at NXT Revenge, with Zaria defeating Sol in her final NXT match.

Since the victory, Zaria has taken aim once more at the North American Championship and Tatum Paxley, with the two set to face off for the title in the main event of tonight’s show.

Zaria Captures NXT Women’s North American Championship

In tonight’s main event, Zaria defeated Tatum Paxley to capture the title, her first championship of her WWE career.

Tatum entered the match undefeated in the year 2026 after winning the title from Izzi Dame back at NXT Vengeance Day.

New WWE NXT Stars Coming From Evolve

After replacing NXT Level Up, WWE Evolve continues to be the new pre-NXT developmental show which talents often appear on before joining the NXT roster full-time.

There are some names who work in Evolve regularly like Women’s Champion Wendy Choo, Karmen Petrovic and Brooks Jensen who have been in NXT previously, but on the other hand, there are some brand new talents as well who are being prepared for an NXT TV role.

One of those names who debuted last week is Elijah Holyfield, the son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield.

Elijah impressed during his time on WWE LFG, but he had to be removed from season two due to an injury.

Now back in action, Holyfield continues to look promising and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him debut on NXT in the not too distant future.

Another name seemingly on that path is Aaron Rourke, who appeared on tonight’s NXT as one of the guest judges for the Mr NXT Pageant between Tristan Angels and Shiloh Hill.

Given his positioning as the current Evolve Champion, Rourke is evidently seen as a top performer on the brand and therefore a likely candidate to make it to NXT TV some time soon.
