WWE Extreme Rules will take place Sunday, July 15 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the official PPG Paints Arena website is advertising a couple of matches that are yet to be confirmed by WWE itself.
The first of these is a singles outing between Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley.
After the announcement that the initially-publicized multi-man match to determine a number one contender for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship had been cancelled, Reigns and Lashley have spent the past two weeks complaining about the ‘Beast’s absence.
They have united to face The Revival for two weeks in a row, with the record at one-a-piece, and there has been clear tension between the ‘Dominator’ and ‘Big Dog’.
Another match being advertised by the PPG Paints Arena that is yet to be officially announced by WWE is a Steel Cage match between Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens.
This follows ongoing tension between the pair since ‘KO’ switched to Raw in the Superstar Shake-up in April, which included ‘The Monster Among Men’ chasing him around the backstage area, eventually flipping Owens’ car last Monday on Raw.
Here is what the Extreme Rules 2018 card looks like currently, according to WWE:
- The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) (c) vs. Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships
- Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax – WWE Raw Women’s Championship
- The Deleters of Worlds (Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt) (c) vs. The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) – WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
- Carmella (c) vs. Asuka WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
- AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev – WWE Championship
