According to former WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, he is ready to reclaim the strap. The ‘Prizefighter’ tweeted his intention to reign for a second time.

This was Kevin Owens’ first tweet since he and Sami Zayn were kayfabe fired on the March 20, 2018 edition of SmackDown Live.
Kevin Owens first won the WWE Universal championship on the August 29, 2016 episode of Raw. After holding on to the title for an amazing 189 days, (seriously, that’s nothing to scoff at) Owens lost the title to Goldberg at WWE Fastlane 2017. Ever since, he has been arguably floundering, picking up 3 WWE United States championship reigns along the way.
The real-life Kevin Steen has also had notable feuds with A.J. Styles, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon, and then-General Manager Daniel Bryan. This culminated at WrestleMania 34 when Owens and Sami Zayn took on the pair in a losing effort.
Fast forward to the buildup of WWE‘s biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam. Kevin Owens will lock up with the ‘Monster Among Men,’ Braun Strowman, with the latter’s Money in the Bank briefcase on the line which can change hands via any means, including countout and disqualification.
Should Owens win the contract, Raw could be saved by a new, fresh face (or heel) on top of the mountain.
