At this past Sunday’s RevPro and New Japan Pro Wrestling joint show known as Global Wars, a pillar of the UK independent wrestling scene appeared to pick up an injury.
The wrestler in question is CHAOS member and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay.
Reports detail that the star of WOS suffered a nasty landing following an attempted Pele Kick in his match against Chris Ridgeway.
This led to Ridgeway hastily picking up a shock improvised victory over Ospreay, leading to speculation that the ‘Aerial Assassin’ was seriously hurt.
He was quickly helped to the back afterwards and checked by paramedics then taken to a nearby hospital with a suspected broken rib.
This couldn’t come at a worse time for Ospreay. At King Of Pro Wrestling, Ospreay picked up a big win against the NEVER Openweight Champion, Taichi, fuelling rumours that Ospreay was looking to step up into the heavyweight division.
However, Ospreay has since taken to Twitter following the incident, stating that he is “ok”:

New Japan has announced that Ospreay will be out of the upcoming Road To Power Struggle tour but that his match with Taichi on November 3 in Osaka is still on.
We at WrestleTalk wish Will Ospreay a speedy recovery.
