Nick Aldis won the NWA Championship from Cody at the NWA 70th Anniversary event in Nashville. Since regaining the title, Aldis has defended it against Jake Hager (FKA Jack Swagger) and Brian Cage. This will be the first time since July that the NWA Championship will be defended in ROH. The last time that happened was when Nick Aldis defended his title against Flip Gordon.
It was also announced this week that the NWA and ROH will be partnering to present the 2019 Crockett Cup. The twelve team tournament will begin this coming April and the first qualifying match will take place at the NWA’s event this Saturday.
