For weeks, fans have waited with baited breath as the graphic designer for Chris Jericho, Instagram user 97abdulmalik, has been posting cryptic tweets pointing towards February 1st. Well, today just so happens to be February 1st.

Jericho’s always been one for intrigue and cryptic clues, from his debut in the then-WWF, to his return video packages, he always knows how to generate hype. So this seemed like another page in the book of Jericho.
In previous posts, certain imagery kept cropping up, such as figures with large hats and attire similar to that of The Undertaker. The word ‘Slay’ also kept appearing. So what was this all leading to? Another AEW announcement? Some kind of feud with The Undertaker? Another NJPW stint? Another Jericho cruise? A Fozzy tour?
No. None of these. As it seems, this had nothing to do with Jericho at all, but much more to do with the graphic designer himself. Abdul Malik revealed a rather lovely art piece celebrating Black History Month, featuring WWE wrestlers Naomi, Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon and Bianca Belair on his Instagram.

While this is a fantastic piece of art, and one that should definitely be applauded, this isn’t quite what some fans had in mind. I think we worked ourselves into a shoot, brother.
