The onscreen WWE return of Roman Reigns after four months away battling leukaemia opened Raw in emotional fashion and what a moment it was.
Roman made his return at the start of the show, coming out to an incredible, overwhelming response from the Atlanta crowd, who loudly chanted his name and “welcome back”.
After Reigns thanked fans for their overwhelming support he declared that he was going to use the WWE platform to raise awareness of people who are in need of support, just like he was.

He then got to the update and said the following:
“I said I was going to swing for the fences. We did better than that, y’all. We didn’t just swing for the fences we hit a home run. I am so grateful, humbled and honoured to announce this: the good news is I’m in remission. So with that being said: the big dog is back!”
Wow. There was not a dry eye in the house after that revelation.
This is of course the best possible news anyone could have hoped for from Roman’s return tonight and one of the most real and genuine a moments you are ever likely to see on WWE television.

Roman did not say exactly when he was coming back – he may be saving that for Good Morning America tomorrow – but it is going to be sooner rather than later based on this.
Incredible news. What a moment!
