The Revival, who produced some of the best tag team matches in recent memory down in NXT, seem like a completely different team from the one on the main roster now.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were reportedly so unhappy with their position within WWE that they requested their release from the company. WWE rejected their request, and a few short weeks later, the duo became Raw Tag Team Champions.
However, Bryan Alvarez has speculated that the end might be near for the “Top Guys”:
“You know what I think is honestly going to happen? I think that if they have annoyed Vince enough and he gave them the titles and they’re still bothering him. I think what he’s going to do is he’s going to break them up.”
The duo have spoken about their desire to work with the Young Bucks, and said “never say never” when asked if they would go to AEW. Alvarez has suggested that Vince might book Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to be singles guys in the lower mid-card.
The Revival are without a match at WrestleMania 35, and the event is just four nights away. However, a WWE.com exclusive shows The Revival being challenged to a bout at the “show of shows” by Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. There has even been talk that the former NXT Tag Team Champions could lose their belts to Hawkins and Ryder, putting and end to Curt’s losing streak.
