IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay has been sidelined with an injury which could lead to him withdrawing from the G1 Climax.
New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the injury on Twitter, adding that his July 18 appearance in the G1 was subject to medical clearance.
Will Ospreay will miss tonight’s #g129 event due to injury.
Ospreay is not suffering from any skeletal or nervous issues.

Ospreay himself has now commented on the injury, admitting that he is “in a huge amount of pain right now”.

Hopefully the injury is nothing too serious and Will can return to the competition. He is widely thought of as one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, and his absence will be felt.
