Last night on Raw, it was advertised that the main event would be a six-man tag team match between the Street Profits and The OC of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
It was also noted that the Street Profits would have a mystery partner, but it seemed that WWE forgot this as no-one showed up and it was just a regular 2 on 2 match.
However, later in the match, Kevin Owens made his re-debut on his new brand and took out The OC to hand the Street Profits the win.
But why did he take so long to offer a helping hand? Well, he has now explained.
“You know why I waited this long to go out their tonight? Because I wanted to make sure The Street Profits needed me because then it wasn’t about AJ Styles or The OC or Kevin Owens. It was about The Street Profits having their first match on Monday Night RAW”
“Tonight wasn’t ‘The Kevin Owens Show’ it was ‘The Street Profits Show.’ Dawkins, I was there, you were there on my first day of the Performance Center. [To Ford] I was there on your first day at the Performance Center. And now here we are on Monday Night RAW, you guys just main evented.
“I’m thrilled for you guys. I need you to know I respect you guys a lot. I really do. In fact I like you guys so much, I might not even turn on you. I know, let’s not get ahead of yourself, but it’s looking good, boys.”
Nice that he hasn’t turned on them yet.
