The second championship match for January 26’s WWE Royal Rumble event has been announced tonight on Raw.
In a rematch from last year, the red brand’s women’s champion Becky Lynch will defend the title against one half of the women’s tag champs, Asuka.
Last year, it was Asuka who won out to, at that time, retain the SmackDown women’s title, and this bout is being built around Becky trying to set the record straight.
At TLC on December 15, Lynch and Charlotte Flair unsuccessfully challenged Asuka and Kairi Sane for the women’s tag titles, a match in which Sane got injured and possibly suffered a concussion.
Also announced for the Royal Rumble thus far is “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt defending the Universal Title against Daniel Bryan, and Charlotte Flair declared herself for the women’s Rumble match.
