Goldberg is set for a Universal Title match at Super ShowDown, but he’s taken time out of his day to remind us how much he dislikes Matt Riddle.
Speaking on the Total Slam podcast, Goldberg said:
“Riddle is like a booger stuck in your nose; he is annoying and won’t go away. He has no influence on Goldberg’s life. Period. End of story. It’s the wrestling business and sometimes when you’re out in public you may run into a former foe and you can never know how the situation will turn out. It is what it is, and we don’t see eye to eye.”
Of course this all started back at Super ShowDown last year when Goldberg put on a stinker of match with The Undertaker, and Riddle wasn’t afraid to speak his mind.
They also had an encounter backstage at SummerSlam, which aired as part of a documentary on the WWE Network, and was just as awkward as you’d imagine.
Speaking of SummerSlam, Goldberg defeated Dolph Ziggler on that show, and also commented on the ‘Show Off’ on the podcast, saying:
“I don’t have a problem with Mr. Ziggler. It only took me a minute-and-a-half to take care of him last time, so I don’t think he even thinks he can beat me. So, I don’t know what he wants.”
