It has now been just under a year since we last saw Ronda Rousey inside a WWE ring, when she lost her Raw Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
Since then, there have been a plethora of reports regarding her WWE future, with some suggesting she was taking time out to start a family, and others that she was done with wrestling full stop.
What we do know is that she had surgery on her hand immediately after ‘Mania, and she appeared in an American drama series, during which she almost lost a finger in a freak accident.
Many thought she would be returning at the 2020 Royal Rumble, but Rousey was nowhere to be seen at the show.
Now though, it appears her return is closer than ever, as Tom Colohue is now reporting that Ronda and WWE are in talks over a brand new deal, which would suggest she is planning to make a comeback.
Ronda still has just under a year left on her current deal, which is one of the biggest for the entire female roster, so this new deal could see her become one of WWE’s top earners, regardless of gender.
When she does return, you can expect the women’s division to be pushed once again, because Ronda means money, and that’s what Vince likes.
