WWE Raw saw a ratings bump this week, possibly as a result of the Backlash pay per view the night before.
Bryan Alvarez reported the number on Twitter earlier today. The viewership for this week’s episode of Raw is 1,940,000 average viewers.

This is an increase of approximately 200,000 viewers from last week. WWE has not gotten the same ratings bump from recent pay per views so there was clearly more interest in the follow-up from Backlash. The main point of focus from Backlash was the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” between Edge and Randy Orton. Orton had won the match and followed it up with multiple segments on Raw against Christian.
This was the main focus of Raw. It was Christian’s first match since retiring in 2014, although he did not do much and was beaten in a minute. The WWE Championship and the WWE Raw Women’s Championships were also on the line on Monday. Both Drew McIntyre and Asuka were able to retain their titles in their respective matches.
WWE is going to start building towards their Extreme Rules pay per view. We do not have any ideas of what they are going to have on the show but the picture should become more clear in the coming weeks.
