Dominik Mysterio Match Set For SummerSlam

During tonight’s episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network, Dominik Mysterio’s first ever WWE match was announced for SummerSlam.

The son of Rey Mysterio will make his official WWE debut in a match against Seth Rollins at the second biggest pay-per-view of the year on August 23.

This all stems from Rollins’ program with Rey, which hit its peak at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules last month when Rollins won the ‘Eye for an Eye’ match by extracting one of Mysterio’s eyeballs.

Dominik has been out for revenge on behalf of his father and tonight on Raw challenged Rollins to a bout at SummerSlam.

Later in the show, Rollins and Murphy hit the ring to confront Tom Phillips for cheering on Dominik when he attacked them last week. Samoa Joe stood up to the duo, and Dominik appeared behind them, once again jumping them with a kendo stick.

Rollins and Murphy retreated to the top of the stage, where Rollins accepted the match and it was made official. As of this writing, the only other two matches official for SummerSlam are Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Championship against Randy Orton, and the Street Profits defending the Raw Tag Team Championship against Angel Garza & Andrade.
