Sheamus Says WWE Star Should Be World Champion

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, new Raw star Sheamus has commented on his feud with Big E, which culminated two weeks ago on SmackDown, and has opened up regarding his views on the New Day star.

During the interview, Sheamus noted that Big E should be a world champion. He explained that the point of his feud with Big E was to show the world a “different side” to the former NXT Champion:

“The world saw a different side of Big E, a guy that should be world champion… We all know he can joke and crack people up, but when it comes to a fight, he can also hold his own against anybody.”

It has emerged following the draft that WWE is planning on giving Big E a major singles push. However, there has reportedly been talk of Big E scrapping the New Day gimmick and adopting a more serious character. You can read more about that by clicking here.

Many have speculated that WWE could book Big E to be the man to eventually dethrone Roman Reigns as Universal Champion. However, it’s important to note that there have been no reports, as of right now, indicating that this is the plan.
