In what seems like a weekly occurrence, reports are coming in that chaos ensued backstage prior to WWE SmackDown. Last week, Vince McMahon had not finalized the show until Friday afternoon.
Tonight, Bryan Alvarez is reporting the show just finished at 7 pm. Yep. Just one hour before the show went live.
They just finished writing Smackdown.

Imagine going live on network television with no final script or plan just one hour before the show starts. Yet somehow, WWE cuts it closer and closer each week.
Obviously, this would explain why there was barely any announcements about the line-up for tonight. It was announced late this afternoon Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens would battle in the first of two Survivor Series qualifying matches.
The only other advertised match is Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso. WWE also announced fans would see the fallout from Roman Reigns winning the I Quit match.
WWE has been producing some decent SmackDown shows, but this constant chaotic environment is not sustainable. WWE should have long term plans, stick to them, and adjust as needed.
Instead, they blow the show up and the storytelling will ultimately suffer because of it.
