Today at NJPW Power Struggle, we saw former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada accept Will Ospreay’s challenge for a match at the massive Wrestle Kingdom 15 event at the beginning of next year.
The match was booked after Kazuchika Okada defeated The Great-O-Khan (Will Ospreay Empire stablemate) at the Power Struggle event today, which is NJPW’s final big show of 2020.
The issues between Okada and Ospreay started at the final night of the G1 Climax last month, when Bea Priestley debuted for NJPW and Great-O-Khan returned to the promotion to help Will beat his former stablemate.
That is not the only noteworthy thing to have happened at NJPW Power Struggle, as Minoru Suzuki dropped the NEVER Openweight Championship in a rather hard-hitting encounter.
Ospreay vs. Okada isn’t the only match confirmed for Wrestle Kingdom 15, as after defeating Kota Ibushi to win the G1 briefcase, Jay White will challenge Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles.
If you didn’t manage to catch the show, you can check out Andy Datson and Tempest’s live reactions of the show over on the Wrestle2 channel by watching the video above.
