Taking to Twitter to respond to a post about the Zelina Vega WWE release story, former US Presidential candidate Andrew Yang noted that he hasn’t “forgotten” about Vince McMahon.
I haven’t forgotten about Vince McMahon.
For those that don’t know, Yang has been very vocal about WWE since news broke that they were considering asking talent to stop streaming on Twitch and using Cameo. He has even threatened government action against the company.
With regards to the Zelina Vega story for those that don’t know, the SmackDown star was let go by WWE on Friday. The announcement of her release came just ten minutes after she tweeted her support of unionization.
Back to Andrew Yang, and it has been reported that people within WWE have reached out to the politician over their classification as independent contractors instead of traditional employees by WWE.
It remains to be seen whether or not Andrew Yang will actually initiate government action against WWE, but it is considerably more likely now that Joe Biden has won the US Presidential Election. Make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest.
