Even during a pandemic, WWE does not stop their recruitment process. Such was the case recently as the son of former WWE star Rick Steiner, Bronson Rechsteiner, had a tryout with the company.
Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rechsteiner had recently had a tryout for WWE. There was no word given regarding how the tryout went. Rechsteiner only made his pro wrestling debut in late October, wrestling at the AWF/WOW WrestleJam 8 show in Georgia. He had his uncle Scott Steiner in his corner and won with the Steiner Recliner.
Rechsteiner is a former football player, having been waived by the Baltimore Ravens in August. He went undrafted out of Kennesaw State, meaning his football career is likely over.
The Steiner Brothers last competed together on February 29, 2020, teaming with 79-year old Dory Funk Jr. to defeat Blain Rage, Jake Logan, and Shane Chung at an indie show in Florida. The brothers are considered one of the best tag teams in wrestling history.
We will provide you with any updates on Rechsteiner’s WWE status as soon as they become available.
