We haven’t heard much about pay per view bonuses since the WWE Network launched in 2014. Of course, during the heyday of WWE pay per views, bonuses were a big part of the talent pay structure. CM Punk notably asked about what the change would be like in the move to the WWE Network prior to quitting in 2014.
Now, a report from Fightful Select (subscription required) has revealed what the bonus was for appearing in a highlighted match at Survivor Series. The new report states that talent involved in a featured match were told they would be given a $15,000 bonus.
The report does make sure to note that it is not clear if that number is consistent across the board. They also note that several WWE contracts are constructed to include bonuses for TV and Network shows. These bonuses were also determined prior to the show happening. It is also unclear if a “highlighted match” is considered anything on the main card or if it only refers to major matches like Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns.
The WWE Network launched the night after Elimination Chamber in 2014. Since then it has been the primary avenue for airing major WWE events.
