The date for the NXT India launch tournament tapings appear to have been revealed as per a new report that has emerged today.
As per POST Wrestling, there is a taping listed in WWE for ‘India Special’ to take place on January 22.
Sportskeeda had previously reported that the brand would launch on January 26, which is Republic Day in India. It’s expected to broadcast on TV in India – as part of WWE’s deal with Sony Sports Network – and on the WWE Network worldwide.
It is still unknown exactly what the project and tapings will entail. The tapings are set to take place in Florida.
The report also noted that the Indian talent involved had a photoshoot this week.
No names have been revealed for the brand, but the likes of Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers have been rumoured.
