With another set of AEW Dynamite and NXT TV in the books, the viewership for both shows has been revealed. In what could have been a very bad week for viewers with the U.S. inauguration taking place, both shows bounced back with increased numbers.
As reported by PWTorch, All Elite Wrestling garnered 854,000 average viewers. This was up from last week’s number of 762,000 average viewers. Meanwhile, NXT brought in 659,000 viewers, which was over 100,000 more than the previous week’s average of 551,000.
In the key 18-49 demographic, Dynamite drew a 0.36 rating while NXT garnered a 0.15.
The Inner Circle was the main focus of AEW Dynamite as they had a match to determine who the official tag team of the group would be. They also continued to build toward’s their Beach Break special.
NXT was dominated by Dusty Rhodes Classic matches. There were notable upsets as Lucha House Party defeated Imperium and Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter topped Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez. The main event featured the return of the Fight Pit as Timothy Thatcher defeated his rival Tommaso Ciampa.
Both shows are preparing to build to major events in February so we will see in the viewership continues to increase.
