WWE will be taking over Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on April 10 and 11 for WrestleMania 37, with reports suggesting that the company is hoping to have around 25,000-30,000 fans in attendance for the show.
Raymond James Stadium hosted the Super Bowl last night between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with around 25,000 fans reportedly in attendance, with the empty seats being filled with cardboard cutouts of fans.
WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE has been against the idea of filling the empty seats with cardboard cutouts for WrestleMania, but could change their minds with how good the stadium looked for the Super Bowl:
With the Super Bowl tonight at Raymond James Stadium -home of WrestleMania 37 in 9 weeks- so far, WWE has been against the idea of filling the “empty” seats w/ cutouts as the NFL has done. I assume that decision will be discussed again now as the stadium looks great.
You have to assume that WWE higher-ups would have been paying extra special attention to how the Super Bowl operated last night in spite of the pandemic, with WrestleMania 37 scheduled for the same venue in nine weeks.
