There has been a good amount of crossover between wrestling and mixed martial arts over the years. From stars like Ken Shamrock and Brock Lesnar to more recent names like Matt Riddle, some stars can succeed at both. Now, Lilian Garcia thinks Jeff Hardy would have been able to succeed at the sport.
Garcia recently spoke with The Sun where she said Hardy and AJ Styles’ athleticism would have been able to do something in MMA. Here is the quote:
“I’d think someone like AJ Styles or Jeff Hardy maybe could have done something. It’s their athleticism, they’ve both had such long careers, physically they have an ability to withstand it night after night. So, having them do something like MMA, and then add their personalities, I could definitely have seen that,”
Neither Jeff Hardy nor AJ Styles have ever competed in Mixed Martial Arts in their career. Both have been wrestling a long time, dating back to the 90s. Hardy debuted for WWE in 1993 as a 16-year old enhancement talent. Styles joined the company after a hall of fame career in IMPACT and New Japan Pro Wrestling, debuting at the Royal Rumble in 2016.
