Speaking with Lucha Libre Online yesterday, former United States Champion Andrade has revealed that he was on a deal worth around $3 million per year with WWE prior to his release this month.
Andrade said that he was on a very good deal compared to a lot of the other people coming up from NXT. Here is the full translation and quote, courtesy of Fightful.
“I’ve been with WWE. I had a great contract with WWE, a great contract. Three million per year. Several million dollars per year, a lot more than plenty of guys coming up from NXT. I heard about some of those contracts. I made a lot more than those guys,”
For context, it was reported that Matt Riddle signed a WWE deal lately that is believed to see him pocket $400,000 per-year, which is significantly less than what Andrade is claiming he was making.
During the same interview, Andrade also claimed that former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre refused to squash him during a match on Raw last year. You can read more about that by clicking here.
