If you remember last year’s WWE Extreme Rules show, firstly I’m sorry you still have that memory, and secondly you’ll remember it was rebranded to “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules”, which was an apt name given the Swamp Fight main event.
Last year’s show took place on July 19, and according to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this year’s show will take place on the same weekend.
John reports that Extreme Rules 2021 will air on Sunday, July 18, but didn’t specify whether the show will hold onto its “Horror Show at” rebranding.
Extreme Rules has been an annual WWE PPV since 2009, with the card generally featuring an assortment of gimmicked matches, usually involving weapons or things on a pole.
As for WWE’s next PPV, that will be WrestleMania’s Backlash on May 16. We’ll be providing live coverage of the show both here and over on our YouTube channel, so be sure to check that out.
