One of the biggest wrestling anti-climaxes in recent memory was Bray Wyatt finally returning to at WrestleMania 37, only to lose to Randy Orton in a few seconds and then get taken off TV without hesitation.
His fiend gimmick was seemingly passed to Alexa Bliss, who has done everything in her power to get her spooky gimmick over, and there are plenty of fans who like it.
The general consensus however is that while Alexa has done a great job, you can’t beat the original fiend, who hasn’t been seen in months.
PWInsider reported earlier this week that his absence wasn’t due to a lack of creative from WWE’s side, and now Ringside News has added its own report.
According to the new report, Wyatt is currently out of action due to an undisclosed medical issue, but nothing is known regarding the severity of any issues.
Wyatt is advertised for a WWE house show on August 9, but this could easily just be an advert WWE hasn’t bothered updating, so there is no guarantee Bray is returning before then.
We’ll have to see whether he’s still the Fiend when he comes back.
