An update has been provided on Adam Cole’s WWE status, ahead of tonight’s post-SummerSlam episode of Monday Night Raw.
At NXT TakeOver 36, Adam Cole was defeated by Kyle O’Reilly, two falls to one. Following the match, it was reported that Cole has yet sign a new WWE contract.
Following his meeting with Vince McMahon earlier this month, it was speculated that Cole will join the WWE main-roster soon. As per Fightful Select, Cole is not planned for tonight’s episode of Raw.
Cole’s NXT contract had reportedly expired, but the former NXT Champion signed an extension long enough to compete at NXT TakeOver 36.
A separate report noted that there is “no huge push” within WWE to re-sign Adam Cole.
