Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark is likely going to have a pretty lengthy absence following surgery this past week.
Stark suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in the three-way tag team ladder match on the October 26 Halloween Havoc edition of NXT 2.0.
She underwent reconstructive knee surgery earlier this week, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter points out that the usual recovery time for all of this is eight months.
Of course, that can fluctuate depending on the individual and their recovery/rehab process, so there’s a chance she could be back sooner than that.
In storyline, Stark’s absence was explained by a backstage attack at the hands of Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, who won the aforementioned ladder match to become NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.
We send our best wishes to Zoey Stark and hope she has a safe and healthy recovery.
