NJPW has announced the full card for Wrestling Dontaku 2022, which will air on May 1 on NJPW World.
The Paypay Dome show will be headlined by an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match, with Kazuchika Okada defending his gold against Tetsuya Naito. Naito notably defeated Okada in the semi-finals of the recent New Japan Cup.
Also on the show, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay will face off for the vacant IWGP US Championship. SANADA announced that he was relinquishing the title at Hyper Battle, after fracturing his orbital bone during the New Japan Cup tour.
Three more title matches have also been announced for the show.

- Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato (champions) vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI – IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
- Tanga Loa vs. Yujiro Takahashi
- Tatsumi Fujinami, Shingo Takagi & Hiromu Takahashi vs. Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi & Taka Michinoku
