AEW Fan Backlash After Harry Potter Post Due To J.K. Rowling Transphobic Comments AEW

There has been a fan backlash on Twitter about an AEW post on for International Harry Potter Day.

When the @AEWonTV account Tweeted an image replacing different Harry Potter houses with AEW factions in honor of apparent International Harry Potter Day, there was fan backlash on Twitter.

In the comments section, people expressed their upset and outrage that the AEW account would post a Harry Potter-related graphic, citing their concerns regarding transphobia.

J.K. Rowling, the author of the original series of Harry Potter novels has notably come under fire in recent years for both initial tweets questioning why an article didn’t use the word ‘women’ instead opted for ‘people who menstruate,’ and then her subsequent doubling-down on the comments which has been regarded as problematic.

Elsewhere in the comments, people were asking for the opinion of Nyla Rose, professional wrestling’s first openly-trans star what she thought of the graphic to which she responded:
