The situation with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi has been the talk of the wrestling world today, following their legitimate walk out during last night’s (May 16) Raw.
The champs walked out at the start of the show, causing WWE to change their announced main event from a six-way which would have seen Naomi earn a shot at Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship, to a singles match between Becky Lynch and Asuka with the same stakes.
When the change was made official on the show, Corey Graves mentioned the situation live on air, referring to the champions leaving as ‘unprofessional’.
Graves got a lot of criticism on social media for his comments, including one fan who tagged Carmella, telling her to ‘get her man’ following the commentary.
Carmella defended her husband, responding with:
Imagine still living in a world where you think he just says whatever he wants. He does his job. Period.
WWE themselves issued a statement on the pair on WWE.com after the show, which you can read here.
