The exact date that MJF’s current AEW contract expires has now been revealed.
MJF has teased a jump to WWE on numerous occasions both on TV and in interviews, believing his AEW contract expiring will result in ‘the bidding war of 2024’.
While it is well documented that his contract expires in 2024, Fightful Select (subscription required) has now confirmed with sources close to MJF that his deal is up on January 1, 2024.
MJF signed with AEW in 2019, before agreeing to an extension that reportedly saw his salary increase significantly.
The star is reportedly legitimately unhappy with his current AEW contract.
Despite originally being slated to wrestle Wardlow during tonight’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, MJF hasn’t been spotted in the T-Mobile Arena ahead of the event. Read the latest updates on MJF’s status right here.
