AEW star Jeff Hardy has publicly addressed his WWE Hall of Fame offer.
Appearing on Talk Is Jericho, The Hardys discussed Jeff’s arrival in AEW, their reunion and his release from WWE.
Jeff Hardy was released from WWE after walking out of a house show match and being sent home by the company. After his drug test came back negative, Matt Hardy claimed that Jeff was offered a WWE Hall of Fame spot without him, which Jeff turned down.
When asked about the Hall of Fame offer, Jeff Hardy answered:
“Well, first of all, I don’t want to go in there without my brother and it’s not my time. This is too early. This is crazy. So yeah, it was very emotional. I was like, ‘What are they trying to do because naturally, I’m going to be reunited with my brother in AEW when I’m free of WWE.’
“I told my wife what had happened. I said, ‘I can’t believe what they just offered me.’ So it was very emotional, but I happily declined it.”
The Hardys defeated The Young Bucks at this past Sunday’s AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.
