As you will likely have seen by this point, former WWE star Cesaro, now going by Claudio Castagnoli, made his debut at last night’s (June 26) AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show, where he defeated Zack Sabre Jr. in a battle of sublime technical wrestling.
In general, people are very excited to see Claudio in AEW, with many citing their opinion that he was massively under-utilised in WWE, and will now hopefully have more opportunities to show what he is capable of.
Someone else who was very excited to see his debut was former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, who was unable to contain her happiness on Twitter.

As a human psychologist, I can confirm she is excited.
Castagnoli was inducted straight into the Blackpool Combat club alongside new Interim AEW Champion Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta and William Regal upon debuting, which is a very exciting prospect if you ask me.
