Tony Khan has commented on the possibility of a AEW and WWE crossover show happening in the future.
On June 26, AEW and NJPW held their first joint event, Forbidden Door. On WWE Raw the next night, Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Paul Wight (Big Show) appeared in video messages to celebrate 20 years of John Cena.
Khan previously confirmed that WWE had approached him about his appearances, noting that he allowed them because they were for a good cause.
Speaking on The Ringer’s Masked Man Show, Khan confirmed that he would be open to talking with WWE about a potential crossover show.
Noting that an event taking place would still be a bold prediction, Khan said:
“I’m not sure if that’s gonna happen (AEW and WWE doing a joint show). But, I would be open to talking about that type of thing. It’s not crazy but it’s a bold prediction.”
A number of top AEW names are currently out of action due to injuries, including AEW World Champion CM Punk. Kyle O’Reilly, who hasn’t competed in almost a month, has now provided an update on his health, which you can read at this link.
