Two backstage names have reportedly finished up with WWE for now, due to budget cuts.
Per PWInsider, Curtis Axel and Ariya Daivari are no longer being brought in by WWE as a result of cuts that have recently been instituted.
The two former WWE talents began to work for WWE as producers on a probationary basis in April, with Axel reportedly officially hired by WWE at the beginning of June.
PWInsider noted that these probationary producers were hired following WrestleMania 38 to ease the workload of the official WWE producers.
Those backstage have been described as being ‘extremely overworked’ following recent cuts.
It is unclear whether WWE plans to hire Axel and Daivari back in at a later date, or if these cuts will have a long-term effect.
The report also noted that Friday’s episode of SmackDown was a ‘Vince McMahon show’, with McMahon heavily involved with creative at the taping, despite more allegations surfacing, which you can read details on at this link.
