Keith Lee has indicated that he will be taking some time away from the ring following his match at AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest.
On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest, Lee will team with Swerve Strickland to face off against Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs, and the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship.
Lee has now indicated that he will step away from the ring following this match.
Noting that he has received some unfortunate news, Lee tweeted:
“Got some very much less than stellar news today…. No matter the results, tomorrow’s match belongs to my two brothers. It’s all I can do until I return. Love you boys.”
While Lee didn’t specify a reason for the possible hiatus, some fans have shown concern for his health, with Lee previously notably out of action for months in 2021 due to inflammation around his heart.
Lee’s post appears to be in reference to a situation outside of the ring, with Lee recently taking to Twitter to post:
“Today… I request prayers for two of my brothers. Scary things are about and rough times have taken over. If you are struggling, I offer positive thoughts and this scream of frustration for you. None of us will tap out. Let us fight.”
Whatever the situation, we send our best wishes to Keith Lee.
